If you’re looking for a fun and professional DJ to cover all the popular genres from the 50s to now… …DJB plays all the hits!And with over 35,000 songs at his finger tips he can mix in requests on the go!

Not a club DJ!

DJB specialises in weddings, corporate events, fashion shows, awards evenings and gala dinners and plays what you want to hear not his own material and doesn't create his own mix of your favorite song so you hear it as you know it.
So that there are no surprises on the night below is a number of things you'll need to consider and information to pass onto DJB (or any DJ for that matter)...

Guests
What is the demographic of your guests? - Age range / ethnic background (if relevant)- Are partners attending? Numbers attending / Sound Make sure we know roughly how many guests will be attending your event so we bring the right amount of sound equipment and clarify if there is sound required in any area other than the dance floor - you'll need more equipment for this but it's all possible!
Setup / pack down
Depending on the event type we like at least 2~3hours to arrive, setup and test the system. Pack down normally takes half this time so make sure the venue is aware of this. We don't like setting up or packing down when guests are still there so best to plan for it. If the venue isn't known to the DJ and has stairs between where the DJ unloads and the performance area please make this known when booking. You may require to offer assistance.
Song choices
  • Unfortunately we don't know you before the event or specifically what music you like so it's great if we have a list of at least 20 "must plays" for the dance floor PLUS any specific songs needed for the event. For example for weddings:
  • Pre ceremony music
  • Bridesmaid "walk in" music (opt.)
  • Brides "walk in" music
  • Signing of the register (2 songs)
  • Post ceremony "walk down aisle"
  • First dance
  • Bride and Father-of-the-Bride dance
Feed your DJ
To make sure that your DJ is always available at their booth make sure you arrange food and drinks throughout the event. This needs to be arranged with the event organizer and communicated to the venue and acting duty manager. You'd be surprised how often this is overlooked! You'll get the best out of your DJ if he feels looked after.
Lighting
Nobody will dance under bright lighting so allow DJB to control the lighting in the venue and dance floor area. He knows how to create the right vibe during the night however when it comes to dancing generally the rule of thumb is "less is more"
Theme
Does your event have a theme? If so your DJ can dress up in theme and tailor some of the music to suit. If not, make sure DJB is aware of the dress code for your event.
